Chinese investment funds have entered the capital of Sanofi-Aventis since the beginning of 2008 and now have a 1.1% stake in the pharmaceutical group, chief executive Jean-Francois Dehecq said.

"I think it is a phenomenon you can observe in a great many companies,' he told shareholders at Sanofi-Aventis' AGM.
