    • The company (VGTC), established in Oct. 2000, is an expert in gene vector technologies, primarily engaged in the research and development of gene transfer technologies and gene therapeutics. Its original gene vector technology was created by a group of scientists focusing on viral vectors research and development in Chinese National Key Laboratory of Molecular Virology and Genetic Engineering.

     

    The company was once located in an incubator lab in the BDA (Beijing Economic and Technical Development Area) between 2000-2002. From July of 2002 on, increased business allowed VGTC to move into its own buildings including 4,300 sq. ft. GMP facility, 8,600 sq. ft. GLP laboratory and 1,100 sq. ft. SPF animal laboratory.

     

    VGTC is a leader in recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) large-scale manufacturing. Its novel AAV package and purification systems make the producing of AAV to be one of the most cost-effective AAV producing systems.

     
    With the advent of virally and plasmid-DNA mediated vaccine and gene therapy, VGTC used its decade of expertise in virology and cell culture to offer a GMP contract production service. With the lots of non-GMP and GMP manufacturing service of AAV, Adenovirus and Plasmid-DNA for the clients in China and abroad, VGTC is becoming one of the most important vector-manufacturing service companies in China.
